Falassarna beach is one of the most beautiful beaches not only in Crete but also in Europe. A huge beach with crystal clear waters and white sand that gives an exotic look to the landscape.

It consists of several sandy beaches of various lengths, all facing the West (which makes it a wonderful place to watch the sunset from). The sea is very clean with lovely colors because of the sandy bottom.

Falassarna is ideal for romantic couples and solitary romantics, as it offers the best sunset in Western Crete. If you are interested in archaeology you can also visit the remains of a fortified Hellenistic harbor. Because of a sudden uplift of the West of Crete 1500 years ago the harbor is now located inland.

Located just 39 km from our village and will not take you more than an hour to get there.
